An agent holding the SFR® certification has gone through specialized professional training in working with distressed homeowners.
Training focuses on practical application of skills in a short sale or foreclosure situation. Agents are taught how to effectively communicate with legal, tax and finance professionals in order to assist clients in qualifying for a short sale, negotiate with lenders, limit risk, protect buyers in short sale or foreclosure purchases and create a comprehensive short sale package and marketing plan.
